If These Walls Could Talk 2 (2000)
HBO’s 2000 made-for-TV movie IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK 2 looks at the lives of 3 lesbian couples living in different decades (60s/70s/00s).
The film is a sequel to the 1996 HBO film IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK, which followed three women, in different decades, dealing with abortion in the USA.
The 1961 segment is about an elderly lesbian couple, Edith (Vanessa Redgrave) and Abby (Marian Seldes). After one of the two women tragically passes away, the other is forced to deal with her partner’s invading family who plan to sell their home and take their belongings.
The 1972 portion follows a group of lesbian feminist students who live together, but begin to quarrel when a new woman, who wears men’s clothing, begins to date someone in their group. Linda (Michelle Williams) starts to see Amy (Chloë Sevigny), despite the disapproval of her friends.
The film ends in 2000 and features a couple, Fran (Sharon Stone) and Kal (Ellen DeGeneres), who are trying to have a baby.
